Our Story
A rolling kitchen
with deep roots
Plăcintă started with a single question: why does Romanian food — one of the most labor-intensive, deeply regional, fiercely seasonal cuisines in Europe — have almost no street presence outside of Romania?
So we built a truck. Hand-stretched dough, a wood-fired oven bolted to the chassis, and recipes that passed the grandmother test before they passed any other test. We've been feeding neighborhoods, block parties, and wedding tables ever since.
